Mission of the La Salle Rowing Stewards Foundation  

The La Salle Rowing Stewards Foundation, through the active participation of alumni, friends, parents and supporters of the program, work to connect and inspire our community to lead, guide, and promote the men’s crew and women’s rowing programs at La Salle University.    

Meet the Executive Board 

The Executive Board of the La Salle Rowing Stewards Foundation consists of a core group of men and women, representing diverse generations, experiences, and perspectives. The purpose of the Board is to provide counsel for the running of the programs, and assist the coaches and the University in supporting the programs, including areas such as student-athlete success, events, development, and alumni relations. 

Expectations of the Executive Board 

  • A willingness to contribute at least $5,000 to either program each fiscal year.
  • A willingness to solicit and secure additional gifts to the program through fundraising.
  • A willingness to participate in our quarterly calls/meetings that provide feedback and updates about the program.
  • A willingness to participate in the re-engagement of teammates through various communications efforts, including emails and phone calls.
  • A willingness to participate in our alumni engagement events designed to engage La Salle rowers from all years.
  • Mentoring - A willingness to help La Salle Alumni, especially the recent graduates, as well as the current student-athletes with career and internship help through offering positions, introductions and/or expertise.
  • Recommend to the Coaches worthy Rowing alumni who could be potential Hall of Athletes nominees when the correct opportunities present themselves. 
     

The general membership of the La Salle University Rowing Stewards Foundation consists of supporters who enhance the teams and experiences of the student-athletes. The purpose of this group is to support the teams, re-engage and connect the alumni, and inspire the whole La Salle Rowing community to sustain and promote our teams.  

Expectations of the General Membership are:  

  • A willingness to contribute at least $500 to either program annually. Young alumni, which is defined as 10 years from graduation and closer, are asked to give at least $150 per year.
  • A willingness to participate in bi-annual calls/meetings that provide updates around the program.
  • A willingness to participate in the re-engagement of teammates through various communications efforts, including texts, social media, emails and phone calls.
  • A willingness to participate in our alumni engagement events designed to engage La Salle rowers from all years.
  • Mentoring - A willingness to help La Salle Alumni, especially the current student-athletes, as well as the recent graduates with career and internship help through offering positions, introductions and/or expertise.
