Jimmy Gulden enters his second season as an assistant coach with the La Salle baseball program in 2018-19. Gulden handles the pitching staff for the Explorers and is also co-recruiting coordinator with fellow assistant Andrew Amaro.

Gulden brings a wealth of accomplishment from some of the region's top programs.

Most recently, he was an assistant coach with Arcadia University where he helped guide the Knights to a 2017 MAC Commonwealth Championship – the team's first conference title in program history. Arcadia also finished with a program-record 33 wins last season and was ranked among the top 25 nationally. As the pitching coach, Gulden mentored Arcadia's staff to a program record for strikeouts in a season (330) in 2017 and a program-best 3.59 ERA in 2016.

Prior to Arcadia, Gulden was a three-year assistant coach with Susquehanna University where he oversaw the team win a conference championship in 2014 to go along with a school record 30 wins. Under Gulden, Susquehanna also achieved a 15-game winning streak (a conference and school record), and tally the lowest team ERA in program history (2.81).

Gulden began his coaching career as an assistant coach with Bucknell University in 2007. He oversaw hitting and players' strength and conditioning for the Bison for five years. Under his tutelage, Bucknell won the Patriot League Championship in 2008 and 2010. In the latter year, the team finished with single season program records in runs, doubles, home runs, RBI's, and fielding percentage.

Gulden's playing experience includes two years at Virginia Tech and at Cleveland State. He was drafted in the 47th round of the 2000 MLB Draft by the Montreal Expos.
