Mike Schaefer will enter his first season in the dugout with the Explorers.
Schaefer is a 1999 graduate of Temple University where he graduated at the top of his class with a degree in Health and Physical Education. In 2002, after two seasons as assistant coach, he was named Head Baseball Coach at Central Bucks West High School.
In 2003, Schaefer led the Bucks to their first Patriot Division Championship and a top five ranking in Southeastern, PA. The team was honored with being named "Team of the Year."
On the heels of the 2003 season, Schaefer led the 2004 Bucks to a #2 ranking in Southeastern, PA. He was named Coach of the Year by various publications and his team set the all-time school record for wins in a season as they finished 21-4. The 2004 team also set an area record that season winning 18 games in a row.
At the end of another successful 2005 season, Schaefer resigned from CB West and now currently runs "Gold Glove Baseball Camp" and "The Baseball Factory", where he does personal and small group/team instruction.
He currently teaches Health & Physical Education at Central Bucks South High School and resides in Perkasie, PA.
