Justin Rey enters his fifth season as the Director of Men’s Basketball performance in which he oversees the strength and conditioning, nutrition, and sport science for the Men’s basketball program. Rey came to 20th and Olney in May 2020, after spending the year of 2019 as assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Philadelphia 76ers and Delaware Bluecoats where he assisted in the implementation of strength and recovery programs along with in-season nutrition and sport science.
Prior to joining the 76ers, Rey served as a strength and conditioning intern with the Philadelphia Flyers, University of Miami Hurricanes Football, St. Joseph's Men’s Basketball and Baseball programs.
A native of South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Rey graduated from Temple University in 2018 with a degree in exercise and sport science and earned his Master’s Degree in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention from California University of Pennsylvania in Fall of 2020.
