Meir Lewin enters his first season as men’s soccer assistant coach in 2022 after being hired to the post in January of 2022.
Lewin joins the Explorers from North Carolina Wesleyan College where he served as the head coach for three seasons. He led the program to a 30-12-6 overall record, 22-4 conference record, two regular-season league titles, two conference tournament finals, one conference tournament championship, and one NCAA Tournament appearance during his tenure.
While at North Carolina Wesleyan, Lewin coached current Pheonix Rising defenseman Baboucarr Njie, who was named First Team All-America at North Carolina Wesleyan in 2019.
Before signing on as head coach at North Carolina Wesleyan, Lewin served as a graduate assistant coach at Washington College from 2012-2014 and an assistant coach at University of Mary Washington in 2017.
Prior to his coaching days, Lewin played professionally in Israel for Hapoel Herzliya where he made 79 game appearances.
