Jeryn Reese enters her second season as assistant coach in 2023-24 after being named to the post in September, 2022.
Reese joins the Explorers after most recently coaching at her high-school alma mater, Mansfield Senior High. After two years in Ohio, Reese is ready to return back to 20th & Olney and join the Explorer family in a different role than player.
"I am super excited to be back in Philly and back at La Salle. I'm eager to be paying forward everything I've learned about basketball over the years," said Reese. "It's been my dream to be a college basketball coach. To be able to live out that dream at my alma mater is surreal."
Reese spent the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons with the Explorers while also earning a Bachelor of Communications from the university. During her junior season, Reese appeared in 24 games with six starts. She averaged 1.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.
The six-foot forward stepped up big during MacGillivray's inaugural season playing in all 31 contests while starting in 29. She finished second on the team in scoring with 8.8 points per game and led the team in rebounds with 6.9 per game. Reese set a career-high in points on nine different occasions throughout the 31-game season and dropped double-digit scoring in 14 games, including the last nine of 11. She rounded out her senior campaign with two double-doubles against George Washington and St. Bonaventure, as well as a Big 5 Player of the Week honor.
