Nikki Ortiz rejoins the Explorer squad this season as a graduate manager. She was a three-year player on Head Coach Jeff Williams' squad, earning a spot as a walk-on as a sophomore. She appeared in 38 games throughout her career on the hardwood, including 15 as a senior averaging six minutes per game. She posted a career-best four points at VCU as a senior and pulled down a career-high seven rebounds against Duquesne as a junior.
Ortiz twice earned the program's Coaches' Award for her hard work and dedication on and off the court.
Ortiz graduated in May 2013 with a degree in Elementary/Special Education and is pursuing her Reading Specialist certification as a graduate student at La Salle.
