Chelsea Marshall joined the La Salle Lacrosse staff in September 2013 as a volunteer assistant.
Marshall primarily works with the team's goalkeepers. Under her tutelage in 2014, La Salle's rookie goalkeeper was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team and All-Rookie Team while leading the conference in saves and save percentage and ranking among the NCAA's top five in save percentage. She assisted on the sidelines for a team that matched a program best Atlantic 10 record (5-2) while advancing to the Atlantic 10 Championship .
Marshall brought an extensive lacrosse background to the Explorer program. She came to 20th and Olney from Pfeiffer University, where she was an assistant for the 2013 season. There she helped guide the squad to a record-breaking season that ended in the first Division II NCAA Tournament bid for the first time in school history. She helped lead the team to a 14-3 record and a No. 6 national ranking, the highest ever in program history. Marshall coached eight Conference Carolinas All-Conference players, including the Co-Player of the Year and Defender of the Year. Two players earned IWLCA All-America honors and two earned Synapse All-America honors under her tutelage.
Prior to Pfeiffer, Marshall spent a season at nearby Messiah College, also helping that squad to its highest ranking in school history (No. 7). Six student-athletes earned All-Commonwealth Conference honors that season and the team finished with a stellar 16-4 record.
Before that, she served as Director for Lacrosse Evolution, a lacrosse training and event management company. There she trained and staffed coaches for year-round girls' lacrosse training programs, planned and ran summer camps and served as the marketing coordinator the program.
Marshall also served as a selector for the 2010 UnderArmour All-American Team and spent time as coach and selector for the 2010 School Girls National Tournament.
She also spent four years on the high school level at both Hilton Head High School (2008-09) and Episcopal Academy (2010-11), after one year as the goalkeeper coach at West Chester in 2007.
Marshall completed a stellar playing career with Division II national power West Chester. She was the starting keeper in three national championship games, recorded the first shutout in West Chester women's lacrosse history and was a two-time All-PSAC honoree.
She graduated from West Chester with a degree in Sociology in May 2007.
