Biography
2017: Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week on November 7…Named A-10 Co-Offensive Player of the Week (10/23)…Started all 23 games as La Salle tied the program record for wins in a season with 17…Finished fourth on the team with 20 points...Netted seven goals as La Salle set a single-season program record for goals scored with 48...Netted four game-winning goals, which was tied for second in the A-10 behind teammate Maci Bower and 55th in the NCAA…Scored the game-winning goal in the 80th minute of a 1-0 win at Penn (8/27) and the 54th minute of a 1-0 win over VCU (10/22)…Also tallied game-winners against Duquesne (9/21) and Davidson (10/5)…Finished third on the team with six assists…Assisted the game-winning goal against Dayton (9/28) and the game-tying goal in the 90th minute of a 2-2 draw at George Mason (10/19)…Tallied four points via a goal and two assists against Davidson and three points against Mason.
2016: Appeared in 17 games, including 13 starts as a redshirt junior…Second in the Atlantic 10 with seven assists in A-10 play…Her seven assists on the year were good for fourth in the A-10...Finished second on the team with 13 points…Scored three goals on the year: Northeastern (9/2), George Washington (10/6), and George Mason (10/27)…Tallied four points against Mason with a goal and two assists, including an assist on Deja Davis’ game-winner…Also had a pair of assists at Richmond (10/20)…Her goal against the Colonials was the lone La Salle offense in a 1-1 draw…Took 35 shots on the season, including 16 that landed on goal.
2015: Redshirted
2014: Played in 20 games for the Explorers as a sophomore, including five starts…Scored game-winning goal, also first collegiate goal, in 66th minute of a 1-0 win over Pittsburgh (9/7)…Also scored what proved to be the game-winner (58th minute) of a 2-1 win over James Madison (9/14)…First career assist came on Kelsey Haycook’s game-winner in the 67th minute of 1-0 win over Fordham (10/11)…Put 11 of 17 shots on goal last season.
2013: Saw time in 16 games in her first season with the Explorers, starting three times…Made first collegiate start in the win over Drexel (9/26)…Recorded seven shots on the season, including two each in wins over Lehigh (9/23) and Drexel (9/26).
High School: Marx joins the Explorers from a decorated club team that was crowned the New York State Champions in 2007, 2009 and 2011 and the Region One Champions in 2009. Additionally, the midfielder’s Eastern New York Olympic Development Program (ODP) squad reached the Regional finals in 2011 and semifinals in 2012, participating in an international trip to Spain last year.
In addition to being named All-County, All-Conference and All-League in soccer, Marx was a Half Hollow Hills Varsity Track Captain, Varsity Lacrosse participant and New York State Scholar Athlete.
Coach Royal: “We are excited about the opportunity to coach an amazing talent like Dannie. Her ability and vision on the ball will immediately help us in possession. She's an interior midfielder that has the confidence and endurance to contribute to our attack. Dannie also has the innate ability to field as many as six positions in this upcoming season.”
