Biography
2014: Started all 22 games on La Salle's back line…Helped anchor a defense that tallied seven shutouts and allowed a league-best three goals in A-10 play as the Explorers went 8-0 in conference…Recorded three shots on the season.
2013: Saw time in 18 games for the Explorers, starting 11…Recorded a multi-assist game on the road against conference rival VCU, connecting with teammate Kelsey Haycook on the final two goals of the game in a come-from-behind 2-2 draw…Earned the starting defensive role during the second half of the season, was an integral part of a defense that allowed only 18 goals all season…Named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2012: Saw time in two games for the Explorers. Recorded her first collegiate action with 20 minutes played against Seton Hall (9/7). Also recorded time againt Cornell (9/16).
High School: Nickels was a member of the NJGSCA All-State team in 2010 and 2011 and was also ranked as one of the top 20 players in the state of New Jersey both years. She also helped lead Robbinsville to the Group I state title in 2008 and 2009. Nickels scored 25 goals and dished 30 assists to earn first team all-county honors twice.
