Junior goalkeeper Mike Kirk has been named La Salle Student Athlete of the Week after helping the Explorers clinch a spot in their fifth consecutive A-10 Tournament.

Kirk recorded his sixth shutout this season in a 1-0 defeat of Dayton on Friday night, pulling in five saves in the effort.

On Sunday, the Mechanicsburg, Pa. native held George Mason to one goal in a double-overtime draw with the Patriots. Kirk also had five saves against Mason, and his goals against average comes to 0.45 for the weekend.
