Mackenzie Karcher of the La Salle field hockey team was named the GoExplorers Athlete of the Week after scoring three out of four La Salle goals in a win against Siena. The junior tallied one first half goal and two second half goals to give the Explorers their sixth win of the season in the 4-1 decision.

After the team dropped a conference contest to UMass on Friday, Sept. 29, they turned around to pick up the win over the Saints with Karcher's help.

The Explorers have garnered a 4-2 nonconference record this season while splitting league play 2-2. Karcher currently leads the team in scoring with five goals and has added one assist. 

The team will take on Rider as part of the nonconference schedule on Thursday, Oct. 4 at 4:00 PM.
