PHILADELPHIA – The Explorers will continue conference play with a match against Temple on Thursday evening at Tom Gola Arena.

La Salle (5-16, 1-3) looks to even the series, as the Blue and Gold dropped its first match against the Owls, 3-1, during the Big 5 Invitational in September.

Last year, the Explorers picked up an exciting late-season victory over Temple in Gola Arena.

The Owls feature a pair of strong hitters in Gabriella Matautia and Collin Wallace, both of whom add over three kills per set.  Tiffany Connatser serves at the team's primary setter and is fifth in the Atlantic 10 in assists per set with 9.87.

Temple has been outhit by its oppoents, .222 to .168 on the season.

For La Salle, senior Jacquelyn Mitrovich is coming off a strong weekend where she averaged 2.54 kills per set on .308 hitting that earned her a La Salle-Student Athlete of the Week nod.

Junior Breanna Mazalewski leads the A-10 in serving with .45 aces per set and is still in the national rankings at No. 28 in Division I.

Last weekend both the Owls and the Explores defeated Rhode Island but fell to Fordham.
