PHILADELPHIA – The Explorers lost, 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-17), in an Atlantic 10 contest against Dayton at Tom Gola Arena on Friday morning.
Junior
Samantha Tulskie added a team-high 10 kills to go along with eight digs. Senior
Kourtney Clark posted 17 assists.
The Flyers jumped out in front in the first set, taking an 11-1 lead en route to a 25-11 set victory.
The Explorers played the team tighter in the second set, and were within three at 10-7 after a kill by Tulskie from junior
Emily Merrick. The teams traded points, until the Flyers were able to close out the set on a 7-2 run.
In the third set, the Explorers got within two at 12-10 after a kill by junior
Kelly Scanlon and then again at 13-11 after a Tulskie kill. La Salle battled to the end, however, Dayton went on to win the set, 25-17.
Tomorrow will be the Explorers' last match of the season, a 2:00 p.m. contest against Duquesne in Tom Gola Arena.
