PHILADELPHIA - Swimming seniors Edward Carnes and
Austin Thomas and junior
Blase Szyszko will travel to Atlanta, Ga. to compete at the AT&T Winter National Championships held at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center on December 1-3.

On Thursday, Thomas will swim in the 50-free preliminaries, after lowering his qualifying time to 20.32 on a short course at the Bucknell Invitational on November 18.
Thomas will return to the pool on Friday to compete in the 100-fly and will be joined by Carnes in the event.
Carnes' best time in the event is a 49.16, swam at the 2011 Atlantic 10 Championships. Thomas posted a 48.61 at this year's Bucknell Invite.
Szyszko will also swim on Friday in the 100-breast after qualifying with a long course time of 1:04.97 over the summer at the Middle Atlantic Senior Championships.
The meet also represents an opportunity to qualify for the Olympic Trials. Szyszko's top 100-breast time is less than half a second away from the qualifying standard of 1:04.69.
Szyszko previously qualified in the 200-breast at the Middle Atlantic Senior Championships.
