Virginia Egusquiza, the reigning NEC Player of the Year, scored in the 21st minute to get the Broncs (2-0) on the board and Eefje Kok followed five minutes later for the only goals in the contest.
Jennings' career-high three defensive saves were one of four on the night for the Explorers (1-1). Junior Rebecca Chylack also stopped one for her fourth career defensive save.
Shaffer's 16 saves were the most by an Explorer since
Emma Ruth stopped 20 shots on August 28, 2009 at Drexel.
La Salle is back in action on Sunday when it hosts Columbia in the home opener at 1 PM.
