PHILADELPHIA - The Explorers will face some tough competition at the outset of Atlantic 10 play as they travel to take on two-time defending conference champion Dayton tomorrow, as well Xavier, last year's runner up, on Saturday.

In Dayton, La Salle will meet Rachel Krabacher, who is 16th in Division I in kills per set (4.53), and Megan Campbell, who ranks 22nd in blocks per set (1.33).  The Flyers have gone 7-5 against some top non-conference opponents including Florida State, Pepperdine and Illinois.

The Musketeers enter conference play with an 8-5 record.  Xavier's Michelle Matia, second only to Campbell in A-10 hitting percentage, hits at a .356 clip, while teammate Sarah Brown averages 3.2 kills per set.  The Musketeers have dropped their last two contests to No. 18 Michigan and Toledo.

The Explorers counter with one of the top servers in D1.  Junior Breanna Mazalewski ranks 17th in aces per set, as well as first in the A-10 in that same category, with .55/set.

Junior Kelly Scanlon leads the team with 2.67 kills/set, senior Kourtney Clark averages 8.18 assists/set, while senior Jacquelyn Mitrovich is La Salle's lead blocker with .45/set.

La Salle (3-13) looks to break a four-match losing streak this weekend.
