La Salle at Rider Live Stats
PHILADELPHIA - The volleyball team will have a non-conference tune-up on Wednesday evening at Rider before resuming Atlantic 10 play this weekend.
La Salle (3-15, 0-2 A-10) will face the Broncs (4-12, 2-3 MAAC) at 7:00 p.m. at the Alumni Gymnasium.
Rider features a young team, with three freshmen and one sophomore regularly seeing time in the starting lineup, and just one senior on the roster. Freshman Jaclyn Webber leads the team with 3.32 kills/set, while classmate Shelbie Stannard is the squad's top defender with 3.54 digs/set.
The Broncs have been outhit by their opponents, 792-676, on the season and most recently lost a 3-1 match to Manhattan.
Last season, the Explorers defeated Rider, 3-0, at Tom Gola Arena, with
Jacquelyn Mitrovich adding a team-high 11 kills. La salle held the Broncos to a negative attack percentage in the first two sets.
The Explorers are coming off two tough A-10 contests at Dayton and Xavier this weekend, where they fell 3-0 in each match.
