PHILADELPHIA – Coming off a 3-2 victory over Rider on Wednesday, the volleyball team resumes Atlantic 10 competition with a pair of matches against Fordham and Rhode Island this weekend at Tom Gola Arena.

The matches will mark the Explorers' first home contests since September 7.

The Blue and Gold will first face Fordham on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m.  The Rams (3-11, 0-1) come in looking to break a three-match skid.

Last time out, Fordham dropped a four-set match to Seton Hall, getting a career-hiigh nine kills by sophomore Carina Thompson in the loss.

The teams have faced one common opponent this year in Rider, which Fordham also defeated, 3-2.

La Salle's match against Rhode Island will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.  On a four-match winning streak, the Rams (9-6, 1-0) boast one of the league's top hitters in Kayla Wilson.  The senior in third in the A-10 in kills/set with 3.85.

The Rams' are also the conference leaders in service aces as a team, with 1.73 per set.

For the Explorers, junior Kelly Scanlon leads the attack with 2.82 kills/set, while senior Kourtney Clark adds 8.15 assists/set.  Defensively, junior Breanna Mazalewski paces the Blue and Gold with 3.39 digs/set.
