NEW YORK, N.Y. - In nearly the exact same fashion as the prior night, La Salle volleyball dropped another heart breaker on Saturday evening, this time at the hands of the Fordham Rams (13-15, 4-5 A-10). The Explorers held a 2-1 set advantage but were unable to seal the deal, ultimately losing 3-2 (25-18, 18-25, 22-25, 25-20, 21-19).
After dropping the first set, La Salle churned out wins in the second and third before Fordham equalized the match with a 25-20 set four performance. The deciding fifth set was nip and tuck the whole way but the home team eventually edged out the visiting blue and gold in dramatic fashion, marking the second straight night the Explorers found themselves just inches away from victory.
