KINGSTON, R.I.- The La Salle women's indoor track team concluded the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Mackal Field House with
Caitlin Storbeck and
Wendy Hutchinson boasting strong performances.
Storbeck won the mile run with a very exciting finish. She crossed the finish line with a time of 4:57.41, just a head of the second place finisher from Saint Louis.
Wendy Hutchinson finished in third place in the 1000 meter race. Hutchinson recorded a time of 2:56.20.
On Friday,
Meghan McGlinchey won the 5k with a time of 16:58.90. This was McGlinchey's first individual indoor title. Teammate
Meghan Lutz also scored some points in this race with a seventh place finish.
Preseason favorite Charlotte won the conference title, while the Explorers finished in eighth place.
The Explorers will have a few days to prepare for the Armory Collegiate Challenge in New York on February 23.
