Walker Leads Explorers in Busy Weekend

Princeton Results Widener Results

Philadelphia, Pa.-
The Explorers had a busy weekend as several members competed at the Larry Ellis Princeton Invitational on Friday, while others competed in the Widener Invitational on Saturday. On Friday, Wendy Hutchinson led the Explorers at the Princeton Invitational. The Explorers were led by Elizabeth Walker and Lolita Thomas at the Widener Invitational on Saturday.
 
Hutchinson crossed the finish line of 800 meter race in 19th place. She crossed the line with a time of 2:11.18.
 
In the steeplechase, Samantha Gallagher crossed the line in 22nd place. She crossed the line with a time of 11:02.44.
 
At the Widener Invitational, Elizabeth Walker won the 1500 meter race. She crossed the line with a time of 4:47.67. Megan Lutz crossed the line in second place with a time of 4:48.52.
 
Lolita Thomas had a second place finish in the 200 meter dash. She crossed the line with a time of 25.70. Thomas also had a 7th pace finish in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.89.
 
Tori Pisco had a 4th place finish in the 800 meter race. She crossed the line with a time of 2:16.21. Taylor Hackett and Karim Brooks finished in 7th and 8th, respectively. Hackett crossed the line with a time of 2:18.47, just seconds before Brooks who finished with a time of 2:18.57.
 
The Explorers will next compete in the Penn Relays this upcoming weekend.
