Complete Penn Relays Results
PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle men's track squad got off to a strong start in the Penn Relays at Franklin Field on Thursday night, as three individuals ran with two personal records set.
Dave Hausherr clocked a 14:28.90 to finish fifth out of 30 in the 5K college race. He edged his previous best of 14:29.83, set at the Larry Ellis Invitational in 2011.
Alfredo Santana and
Joe Beveridge competed in the Olympic Development 5K race, with Santana bettering his personal record by over seven seconds. He clocked a 14:35.57, finishing eighth overall out of 28 and was the second collegiate finisher behind American's Mark Allen. His previous PR was a 14:42.88, set a year ago at Princeton.
Beveridge ran a 15:07.37, finishing 25th in the race.
The Explorer men return to action today with the running of the distance medley relay at 4 p.m.
