PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team will look to bounce back from their recent losses this weekend as they make the short trip to Villanova for a Friday match vs. Seton Hall and a Sunday draw vs. host Villanova.
Scouting the Explorers
Despite their recent losses to Washington and Portland, the Explorers remain atop the Mid-Atlantic Regional Poll, as voted on by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). La Salle began their season by knocking off then No. 20 West Virginia 2-1 in Morgantown and a 2-0 home victory over Iona.
As a team, the Explorers have outperformed their opponents in most statistical offensive categories. Most notably, they have out shot their opponents 15.7 – 9.00 per game and hold a goals per game edge 1.33-1.00.

After 5-0 start to their 2012 campaign, Seton Hall dropped their most recent match to Army at West Point on Monday. The Pirates' defense has been air tight this season, only allowing two goals and a .033 shot percentage. On the contrary, Seton Hall has filled the net 10 times with a .093 shot percentage.
Three Pirates have scored two goals this season, including junior Ashley Clarke, junior Marie Klemme, and sophomore Kristina Meier. Clarke is the team's top point getter, with 7.
Villanova knocked off American 2-0 in their season opener but have not returned to the win column since. The Wildcats have recorded three losses and two ties since their opening day victory, most recently drawing 1-1 vs. Virginia Commonwealth in Richmond.
Senior Heidi Sabatura's 5 points (three assists, one goal) pace the team while sophomore Caitlin Forte is the Wildcat's lone multiple goal scorer with two.
