PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle field hockey team wraps up its 2013 home schedule with a pair of games at DeVincent Field this weekend. The Explorers host A-10 newcomer Saint Francis on Friday at 3:30 before the annual Senior Day game against Saint Louis on Sunday at noon. The Senior Day ceremony will take place approximately 15 minutes prior to the game and will honor the program's six seniors - Heather Barretta, Jessica Deaner, Mariel Papa, Lisa Shaffer, Olivia Shoemaker and Kelly Rae Wright.
Both games will be video streamed live on La Salle's video portal.
Scouting the Explorers
The Explorers faced a difficult schedule last weekend with a trip to 10th-ranked Massachusetts before a home date with a red-hot Lock Haven squad. Shoemaker drained the lone goal on the weekend against the Minutewomen.
Shoemaker continues to lead the team in points and goals, with 23 points on nine goals and five assists. Maddy Tettelbach is second on the squad with 19 points on seven goals and two assists, while Papa has drained seven goals this season for 14 points. Juliana Carfagno continues lead the squad with seven assists.
Shaffer has seen the majority of time in goal, recording a 3.42 goals against average and .728 save percentage while leading the A-10 with 134 saves.

Scouting the Red Flash
The Red Flash enter the weekend with an even 6-6 record while going 1-2 so far in their first season in the Atlantic 10. They look to bounce back from a pair of losses in Virginia last weekend, falling 6-1 at Richmond before being edged 3-2 in a double overtime heartbreaker at VCU. The contest will mark the fourth of a five-game road trip for the Red Flash.
The team has edged opponents in scoring 33-32 on the season and have earned 102 penalty corners while limiting opponents to 76.
The squad has a pair of high scorers in Selena Adamshick and Autumn Pellman, who have each recorded 29 points this season. Adamshick has scored 11 goals and assisted on seven others while Pellman leads the squad with 14 goals along with one assist. Carissa Makea is another scoring threat., with seven goals and four assists for 18 points. Nikki Snyder leads the squad with eight assists.
Two keepers have evenly split time, with Jill DiCola and Samantha Zeiders each starting six games and both recording 3-3 records. DiCola owns a 2.50 goals against average and .674 save percentage, while Zeiders is sporting a 2.63 goals against average and .685 save percentage.

Scouting the Billikens
Saint Louis has faced a rough season, winning just one game so far against Ball State in nonconference play. The Billikens dropped a pair of contests against VCU and Richmond last weekend, managing two goals in a 5-2 loss against VCU.
Faith Mackin leads the squad with 11 points on four goals and three assists. Megan Rogers has added four goals and one assist for nine points. Lisa Smith rounds out the top three with three goals for six points.
Megan Depew-Brady has played about two-thirds of the available minutes, recording a 5.51 goals against average and .621 save percentage. Tori Westhead also sees significant time in goal, and has recorded a 5.40 goals against average and .622 save percentage.
