PHILADELPHIA-La Salle women's soccer defeated Dayton, top ranked in the Atlantic 10, 2-0 on Friday night.
Shannon Dwyer scored her first collegiate and eventual game-winning goal in the 11th minute.

Kelsey Haycook. Haycook dropped the ball back to Dwyer at the 18 setting up a one-timed shot to the upper right corner past Daytton goalkeeper Elizabeth James.
Haycook scored her 14th goal of the season in the 38th minute to give La Salle the definitive 2-0 lead. The team's leading scorer this season, Haycook finished a cross from Deja Davis with a header inside the far post. Haycook currently leads the league in points (36).
Sophomore Jessica Wiggins earned the win, recording three saves while improving her reacord this season to 6-2-2.
The win propelled the Explorers into second place, trailing only the Flyers who were previously unbeaten in the conference and hold sole posession of first.
The Blue and Gold (12-4-2/4-2-1) return to action on Sunday, rounding out the Atlantic 10 regular season against George Mason at 3 p.m. Senior day festivities will begin at approximately 2:45 p.m.
