GENEVA, Ohio – The women's swim and dive team finished in fourth place with 442 points at the 2013 Atlantic 10 Championship at the conclusion of Saturday night's final session.
Sophomore
Colleen Larkin made an early charge in the 1650 yard freestyle, building up a half pool-length lead over the field for a large majority of the event. She ultimately won gold in 16:44.46 over Richmond freshman Emma Terwilliger by nearly four seconds to defend her title from last year's championship. In addition, Larkin broke the 1000 yard freestyle school record going out in her 1650, flipping at 10:03.98 to break the 15 year-old record. Junior
Greta Reichert earned a spot on the podium as well, clocking in at 16:51.32 to earn a bronze medal.

Katie Snee busted through the 51-second barrier in the 100 yard freestyle, racing to a 50.74 to earn silver and out-touch teammate
Elizabeth Jordan, who placed third, by one one-hundredth of a second. On Thursday, Jordan out-touched Snee in the 50 free by the same margin.
Senior
Jessica Simunek earned a personal best time on her final swim of her career, clocking in at 2:15.57 in the 200 yard breaststroke for a fourth place finish.
Sophomores
Chelsey Curran and
Amina Wilson placed eighth and fourteenth, respectively, in the 200 yard backstroke. Curran recorded a 2:03.55 and Wilson touched in 2:04.35
Sophomore
Lisa Woodman ended her season on a positive note, picking up a personal best time of 2:04.83 in the 200 yard butterfly to place 11
th .
The Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championship concludes the 2012-2013 season. The Explorers begin training for the 2013-14 season at the beginning of this coming fall semester.
