La Salle Wraps Up Play At Manor Intercollegiate

FARMVILLE, Va. - La Salle recorded a team score of 310 in the final round of play at the Manor Intercollegiate to finish eighth on Saturday. The 54-hole score of 310-300-310=920 (+46) was 19 shots off the pace and just 11 out of the top five.

Freshman P.J. Acierno was the top Explorer finisher, tying for 20th with a 77 on Saturday to compile a 78-71-77=226 (+10). Junior Mike Johnson had the best score for La Salle in the final round with a 75 (+3) and his 75-77-75=227 (+11) was good for a tie for 22nd.

Junior Tyler Fewell used his 78 to combine with a 77-74 for a 54-hole score of 229 (+13). He tied for 28th.

Junior Tom Horgan had a 80-78-80=238 (+22) to tie for 51st while sophomore Greg Goodreds had a 81-78-81=240 (+24) to place 54th.

George Mason won the event with a three-round score of 901, besting Drexel by one shot and Longwood by three shots. Delaware and St. Bonaventure tied for fourth with a 909.

Longwood's Dylan Jensen defended his title from last year with his 72-70-72=214 (-2) defeating Liberty's Max McKay by three strokes.

La Salle will wrap up its regular season on April 23 at the Saint Peter's Peacock Invitational before heading to Florida for the Atlantic 10 Championship on April 26-28.
