NESHANIC STATION, N.J. - La Salle junior
Mike Johnson carded an even-par 72 to win individual medalist honors on a chilly Tuesday at the Peacock Invitational, hosted by Saint Peter's at Neshanic Valley Country Club. Johnson tied with four other players for the top spot but won the event based on a match of cards over the final three holes.
The Hatboro-Horsham graduate eagled the par five, 555-yard 17th hole, which turned out to be the difference in the match of cards. The 72 tied for his best round of the 2012-13 season.
"It's a great way to start the week," Johnson said. "It feels great to pick up a win right before A-10s."
