Lafayette slightly outhit the young Explorers (.208-.203), but it proved to be the difference in the match. "Obviously we're disappointed, we would have liked to take both matches," said head coach Dave Stever. "We honestly did not hit too badly, but they hit a little better than we did."
La Salle will play their third match of the Invitational slate tomorrow morning at 9:00am against Sacramento State (2-0). "They're going to be tough, they will probably be our toughest match," said Stever. "We'll try to get a good night's sleep here and come rejuvenated in the morning."
The Explorers will round out their Invitational slate with a match against the Bucknell Bison (1-1) at 2:00pm Sunday.
