Women’s Soccer Caps Regular Season Play at Duquesne and St. Bonaventure

PHILADELPHIA – La Salle women's soccer is on the road this weekend as they finish off Atlantic 10 regular season play at Duquesne on Friday and St. Bonaventure on Sunday.
 
Scouting the Explorers
The Explorers routed the George Mason Patriots 4-1 on Friday night in their final regular season home game as senior Maryam Huseini tallied three assists to set the all-time record for assists and tie the single-game mark.

Huseini found Kelsey Haycook with two of those assists as the senior forward continues to pile up goals in her final season at 20th and Olney. Haycook has tallied nine goals in six league games as the Explorers are perfect in the A-10 heading into the final weekend. The Point Pleasant, N.J. native is tied for second in the country in game-winning goals (seven) and eighth in total goals (15).

Senior keeper Jessica Wiggins leads the conference in saves (85) and saves per game (5.67).

Scouting the Dukes
Duquesne has lost three straight contests (Saint Joseph's, Rhode Island, Massachusetts) following a win at George Mason on October 17.

Maddie Layman leads Duquesne's balanced scoring attack with five goals this season while eight other Dukes have found pay dirt at least once in 2014.

The Explorers have won their last two matches with Duquesne, collecting a 3-0 win last season after earning a 1-0 overtime victory in 2012.

Scouting the Bonnies

St. Bonaventure is coming off a 2-1 win over Rhode Island on Sunday thanks to a game-tying goal by freshman midfielder Danielle Vis in the 18th minute and the game-winner from Lauren Hill in the 62nd minute.

Vis and Hill pace SBU in scoring with four goals apiece while Bonnies keeper Christina Sarokon is second in the A-10 in saves (81) this season.  

The Bonnies took a 2-1 decision at the Marra Athletics Complex last October after the Explorers won a 1-0 game at McCarthy Stadium in September of 2012.
