PITTSBURGH – The La Salle men's soccer team fell 3-1 to the Duquesne Dukes on Sunday afternoon at Rooney Field.
After the Dukes took a 1-0 lead in the 13
th minute, La Salle's
Pat Sullivan scored his second goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1 in the 22
nd minute.
The Dukes answered with two quick goals, retaking the lead on a Kadeem Pantophlet goal in the 25
th minute. Pantophlet's goal was assisted by Karter Sell and Dorian Kouame.
DU extended the lead minutes later when Kouame scored in the 29
th minute on an assist from Fredrik Borenstein.
The Explorers produced six shots in the second half but couldn't find pay dirt against DU keeper Sam Frymier. The Blue and Gold rattled off 15 shots on the night, including five on goal.
The Explorers wrap up their season next weekend as they host Dayton on Friday night and George Mason on Sunday afternoon for Senior Day.
