Explorers Draw with George Mason to End Regular Season

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The La Salle men's soccer team earned a 1-1 draw with the George Mason Patriots on Sunday afternoon at McCarthy Stadium.

The Explorers (7-8-3, 3-3-2 A-10) took an early 1-0 lead on Greg Henry's first goal of the season in the 11th minute. After a feed from Joe Farrell in the near corner, Henry pushed the ball off the fingertips of keeper Michael Butts and into the net.

Matt Tucker notched the equalizer for George Mason (11-3-4, 4-2-2 A-10) in the 31st minute on his second goal of the season. The sophomore chased down a ball on the near sideline and was able to poke it past keeper Mike Kirk to tie the game.  

Kirk made a game-high five saves in the contest while Butts made his only save of the game on a Matt Robinson free kick.

The Patriots controlled corner kicks 5-3 in the game.
