InfographicHEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - La Salle received a balanced offensive effort to earn a 83-74 win on the road at Hofstra on Tuesday afternoon. Redshirt sophomore, named the Lute Olson Award National Player of the Week earlier in the day, scored 28 points and added seven assists and five rebounds to lead the charge.

Jerrell Wright had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Senior
Steve Zack had eight points and 11 rebounds.
The contest may have been La Salle's best all-around game of the season. Offensively, the Blue and Gold were efficient with a season-high 19 assists and nine three-point baskets. The 19 assists were the most by La Salle since dishing 20 versus St. Bonaventure on February 26, 2014.Â
Price, who has averaged 28.3 ppg. in his last three games, had a career-high seven assists to go with his 28-point offensive outburst. He shot 10-for-17 from the field and was 5-for-9 from three. Â
"What he's doing is becoming a better player," Giannini said. "He's playing defense, he's passing the ball."
Price now has three games with at least 25 points, five rebounds and five assists, second in the nation behind Iona's A.J. English.Â
Roberts also got in the three-parade, making 4-for-6 from long distance.Â
The Explorers (7-5) scored a season-high 83 points and shot a season-best 58.6% from the field. The 58.6% is the highest by La Salle since the team shot 63.3% from the floor in an NCAA First Four win versus Boise State.Hofstra (7-4) was led by Ameen Tanksley (Philadelphia's Imhotep Charter), who had 23 points. Juan'ya Green of Archbishop Carroll HS outside of Philadelphia added 15 points and 11 assists. Hofstra is led by long-time La Salle assistant from 1981-98, Joe Mihalich '78.Â
The visitors led by as many as 17 points with just under two minutes left before Hofstra scored the final eight points of the game.Â
With the win, the Explorers improved to 4-0 in road games this season. La Salle has won three of its last four games.
La Salle is back in action on December 30 when it hosts Penn at 7 PM.Â
