Dr. John Giannini. "We played hard, turned them over and I am pleased with the outcome."

La Salle shot 54.1 percent (33-for-61) from the field as a team, their second highest total so far this season. The Explorers led by as many as 22 in the second half.

Redshirt sophomore
Jordan Price paced La Salle (8-5, 1-2 Big 5) with 18 points, going a perfect 5-for-5 from the foul line and 3-of-5 from three-point range.

"We are in the gym every day so this is nothing new to us," said Price. "We knew this moment would come and it's good that we are shooting the ball well going into Atlantic 10 play."

Senior
Steve Zack filled the stat sheet with 17 points, nine rebounds and five assists while classmate
Jerrell Wright added 13 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Both players went 6-for-9 from the floor and tallied two blocks and two steals apiece.

Redshirt freshman
Amar Stukes poured in a career-high 13 points in 27 minutes off the bench, shooting an efficient 6-for-8 from the field.

"We have been begging Amar to be more aggressive because he is a very good player," added Giannini. "He played great defense tonight too."

Redshirt sophomore
Cleon Roberts finished with 12 points, going 5-for-8 from the field and adding three rebounds and two assists.

The Explorers outscored the Quakers (3-7, 0-2 Big 5) 48-34 in the paint in the game, and 14-7 on second chance points.
Rohan Brown was crucial to La Salle's success on the offensive glass, pulling down four offensive rebounds in just 11 minutes.

Penn took a quick 2-0 lead on a Darien Nelson-Henry layup 16 seconds into the game before a Price trey gave the Explorers a lead they never relinquished. La Salle used a 13-3 run spanning the third media timeout in the first half to stretch their lead to 12, and eventually took a 47-35 lead into the break.

The Explorers now prepare for Atlantic 10 play as they visit George Mason (5-6) on Saturday. Tip from the Patriot Center is set for 7 p.m.
A fan bus will leave the Hayman Center at 1:45 PM on Saturday. Cost is $25, which includes a ticket.Â
