KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – #19 Tennessee used six pitchers to silence the Explorer bats on Tuesday evening, holding La Salle to just three hits in a 14-0 Volunteer victory at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Vols had four multiple run innings to secure the home win and improve to 11-0.

Freddy Andujar (L, 0-4) threw two scoreless frames before being roughed up in the third. Four earned runs were charged to his line in the frame before being yanked with two outs. He struck out four and walked three in the outing.
Tennessee later tallied two runs in the sixth, three in the seventh, and five in the eighth to put away the Explorers. Freshman
Andrew Craig, who tossed a scoreless ninth, was the only La Salle pitcher with a clean line in the ballgame.
The Blue & Gold (1-10) totaled three hits on the night. Junior
Kevin Baron (1-4) led off the game with a single to extend his hitting streak to nine games. He has reached base safely in all 11 games this season. Senior

Mark Williams (1-3) provided the lone extra base hit for the Explorers, a double to lead off the second inning.
Freshman Hunter Martin earned the win for the Vols, striking out four in three innings. It was his first collegiate win.
The clubs will square off again on Wednesday at 6:00 PM.
