BOSTON, Mass. – The La Salle women's distance medley relay team ran an 11:34.82 on Sunday afternoon at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center, placing first. The time missed the school record by less than half a second and was more than nine seconds better than the second place team.

Tori Pisco, Kate Conville, Cayleigh Solano, and Meghan McGlinchey combined for the near-record time. The quartet (with Chelsea Harris running the second leg) blasted the previous school record (11:42.72) on February 8 at the Yale Giegengack Invitational when they posted an 11:34.33.

Cayleigh Solano ran a career-best 2:11.06 in the 800 meter run on Saturday, coming third in her heat and 10th overall. The junior fell only .36 seconds shy of the school record, held by Ndidi Obechere (2:10.70, 2002).

Taylor Hackett clocked a 5:04.30 in the one mile run on Saturday, finishing seventh in her heat and 13th overall. She ran a career-best 5:01.94 in the race two weekends ago at the Atlantic 10 Championships.

As a team, the Explorers totaled seven points, coming in 31st of 46 in the team rankings.
