Women’s Track & Field Wraps Up a Hectic Saturday

The La Salle women's track and field squad split in three ways on Saturday, competing at George Mason, Rider, and Bucknell.

MASON SPRING INVITATIONAL
Tori Pisco ran a 2:12.76 in the 800 meter run, coming in 17th in the 69-runner field. Cayleigh Solano posted a 2:21.71 en route to a 55th place finish.

Rebecca Scardelletti nearly eclipsed a PR in the 1500 meter run, coming in at 4:44.23 (28th).

RIDER INVITATIONAL
Shanice Johnson posted the top Explorer finish on the afternoon, coming in second in the high jump with a 5.68m (PR) leap.

Kathryn Boligitz notched a fifth place finish in the 5000 meter run with a 19:00.70 (PR).

Shannon Dwyer was the top Explorer finisher in the 400 meter dash, registering a 59.85 (PR) while coming in 12th. Sara Dever ran a 1:01.97, coming in 28th.

Christa Strycharz paced a trio of La Salle runners in the 1500 meter run, coming in 25th with a 5:04.78. Ines Simoes clocked a 5:09.42 (PR, 31st) while Alex Guntle ran a 5:26.12 (50th).

Carolan DiFiore competed in the 800 meter run, timing a 26th place time of 2:29.37 (PR).

Kirra Meertens crossed the finish line at 29.85 in the 200 meter run, good for 50th.

The 4x800m relay team (DiFiore, Strycharz, Simoes, Guntle) finished ninth with a 10:27.64.  

BISON OUTDOOR CLASSIC
Kaylie McNally timed an 18:00.24 in the 5000 meter run, smothering her PR by nearly 45 seconds. Molly Mickle clocked a 37:45.54 in the 10,000 meter run, coming in 24th
