th place finish (34-runner field). Her time nearly edged the school record of 33:15.18, set by Rachel Papin in 2006. The finish is the top mark of any Atlantic 10 runner in the 10k this spring.
She was the lone Explorer woman to compete at Stanford, with the rest of her teammates testing their skills at the Colonial relays.
COLONIAL RELAYSTaylor Hackett ran a PR in the 1500 meter run, crossing the finish line at 4:36.60 in the finals, good for 17
th.
Kaylie McNally (4:45.74, PR) and
Rochelle Harrison (5:08.15) finished 39
th and 51
st, respectively.
Rebecca Scardelletti came in sixth in heat two of the 1500 meter run with a 4:50.89 (PR) while
Carolan DiFiore clocked a personal best 4:54.98, good for 12
th place.
Michelle Capozzi was the lone Explorer to compete in the 3000 meter run, timing a 10:12.78, coming in 13
th.
Cayleigh Solano and
Tori Pisco each posted top-20 finishes in the 800 meter run. Solano ran a 2:12.08 (10
th) while Pisco came in at 2:12.93 (18
th).
Kate Conville finished 27
th (2:20.44) and
Shannon Dwyer (2:21.13) came in 31
st in the 75-runner field.
Shanice Johnson ran a season-best 12.98 in the 100 meter dash preliminaries, coming in 37
th (84-runner field). She later finished ninth in the long jump with a 5.32m leap.
A pair of Explorers competed in the 400 meter dash, paced by a 1:01.92 (51
st) from
Sara Dever.
Chelsea Harris finished 52
nd (1:02.01).
