Box Score [PDF]BOSTON – The La Salle women's soccer team opened their 2014 season with a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to Boston University on Friday night at Nickerson Field. Jenna Fisher scored the game-winner for the Terriers with seven seconds remaining in regulation after BU tied the game in the 78
th minute.
Fisher gave Boston their first lead of the game with the late goal, scoring on her first touch after an assist from Ariana Aston.
Following a scoreless first half, La Salle grabbed a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal in the 50
th minute from junior

Maryam Huseini threaded a pass up the right side to a hustling Kagan, who beat her defender up the right side and fired a shot to the far corner past the reach of BU's keeper.
The Explorers held the lead until Boston's Ana Cuffia punched in a free kick at the 77:05 mark in the second half.
The Explorers put seven shots on goal for the evening, including four that landed on goal. Huseini paced the attack with a pair of shots.
