LOUDONVILLE, N.Y.- The La Salle men's soccer team fell 1-0 to the Siena College Saints in their season opener on Sunday afternoon at Siena Turf Field.
The difference for the Saints came on a goal by Siena's Tom Allen in the 40
th minute of the first half on an assist from Paolino Curto. Allen deflected the cross from Curto inside the near post for his first goal of the season.
The Explorers came out in aggressive fashion in the second half with seven shot attempts but couldn't find the equalizer. The Explores fired a total of nine shots on the afternoon.

Mike Kirk logged all 90 minutes in the net for the Explorers, collecting three saves on the day. The Saints were relentless in the offensive third, registering a total of 13 shots in the game.
The Explorers return to action next weekend as they enter the Vermont Classic where they'll play the University of Vermont on Friday and UMass Lowell on Sunday.
