Box Score [PDF]

PHILADELPHIA
– La Salle's Matt Robinson scored in the 88th minute to help the Explorers to a 3-2 victory over the Stetson Hatters at McCarthy Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Robinson beat the keeper on a feed from Joe Farrell at the 87:10 mark, and the Explorers (1-4-1) were able to hold off the Hatters (2-4-2) for the final two minutes and 50 seconds to seal the win. The goal was Robinson's second of the year.

Farrell had given La Salle a 2-1 lead with his second goal of the season in the 51st minute, heading in a Nick Becker free kick from midfield before Stetson tied the game at 2-2 on a header in the 68th minute.

After Stetson took an early lead on a goal in the 8th minute, La Salle's George Breslin tied the game with his first career goal on a free kick just seconds before halftime.

La Salle came out strong in the second half, firing 11 of their 14 shots after the break. The Explorers landed a total of eight shots on target in the game.

Both of Stetson's goals came following corner kicks, and the Hatters controlled corner kicks 10-5 on the afternoon.

The Explorers will look to make it two in a row on Tuesday as they host Bucknell (4-3) at McCarthy Stadium at 7 p.m.
