NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - La Salle redshirt sophomore P.J. Acierno was named the Atlantic 10 Conference's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced today. 

Acierno shot the second lowest 54-hole score by an Explorer in program history with a 215 (70-74-71, +2) at the Rutgers Invitational. The Flourtown, Pa., native finished 13th in the 95-player field. 

He currently leads the team in scoring (74.5 strokes/round) and joins recent graduate Mike Johnson as the only Explorers to win A-10 Golfer of the Week.

La Salle is back on the course on Sunday at the George Mason Intercollegiate.
