PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team tied the game at 2-2 in the 66
th minute to force overtime before Florida Gulf Coast's Tabby Tindell netted the golden goal in the 93
rd minute to give the Eagles a 3-2 win over the Explorers at McCarthy Stadium on Sunday.
A throw-in by Ashley Parks went to Shannen Wacker, who flicked the ball to Tindell on the run. The sophomore dribbled towards the top of the box and shot, just escaping the outstretched hands of a diving

Kerri Aiken scored her first goal of the season at the 65:54 mark in the second half to tie the game at 2-2, gathering an assist from Maryam Husseini and beating the keeper high off the dribble near top of the box.
The Eagles took a 2-1 advantage on Tindell's first goal in the 53
rd minute, a header that went inside the near post off a corner kick. The Ocala, Florida native now has 12 goals on the season.
FGCU took a 1-0 lead in the 20
th minute before
Jessika Kagan scored in the 42
nd minute to knot the game at 1-1. The junior deposited the ball to the upper left corner on a pass from
Marykate Bateman for her fifth goal of the year.
Zambelli made her first career start in the net for the Explorers, facing 14 shots and making six saves to slow FGCU's relentless attacking third. The Explorers took 19 shots in the game, landing 10 on target against FGCU keeper Brittany Brown.
The Blue and Gold open Atlantic 10 play this weekend as they host George Washington on Friday and VCU on Sunday.
