DAVIDSON, N.C.- The La Salle volleyball team fell at Davidson, 3-0 (22-25, 20-25, 10-25), on Sunday afternoon. Junior Ashely Felton finished with a match-high ten kills while leading the team with a .304 hitting percentage.

The host Wildcats (9-14, 3-6 A-10) build up to a seven point lead midway through the set and held off a late Explorers run that was able to cut the lead to just one at 22-21 to hold on for a 25-22 set win. Sophomore

Madison Kuch each tied with a team-high four kills in the frame. Senior

Jensen Sharrits each had five of their 12 digs in the frame. The Explorers struggled holding onto the serve in the first frame as Davidson had a side out percentage  of 65% in the set.

Set two saw the Wildcats jump out to a 9-2 lead and never look back on the way to a 25-20 set win. La Salle (6-20, 0-9 A-10) cut the lead to just two points at 22-20 thanks to a 7-3 run for the Explorers but it wasn't enough. Felton added six kills in the frame on just 11 swings. Davidson was able to counter with a team .333 hitting percentage in the set as well as three service aces.

Davidson was able to close out the match in set three with a 25-10 set win. Four different Explores had a kill in the frame.

Freshman
Taylor Hite added 31 assists in the set while Sharrits and Perillo tied for a match-high with their 12 digs apiece.

La Salle returns to Tom Gola Arena next Friday as they welcome Duquesne for a 7 p.m. first serve.Â
