PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle volleyball team returns home as they host Duquesne on Friday with first serve slated for 7 p.m.
Scouting the Dukes...La Salle Explorers (6-20, 0-9 A-10) vs. Duquesne Dukes (11-12, 5-4 A-10)Friday, Oct. 30 | Tom Gola Arena | 7:00 p.m.Live Statistics | -Duquesne heads into the matchup winners of five of their past seven matches. They split two matchups last weekend grabbing a 3-1 win at Davidson and falling 1-3 at VCU. The Dukes currently sit fifth in the Atlantic 10 standings at 5-3.
-A pair of upperclassmen have paced the Dukes offense with junior Lacey Levers (.319 hitting %) and senior Nora Young (.318 hitting percentage) each among the top 10 most efficient hitters in conference matches.
-Junior Sammy Kline leads the backline effort for Duquesne as she averages 4.09 digs per set, which ranks second in the conference. As a team the Dukes lead the conference averaging 15.00 digs per frame against conference foes.
-Levers recorded a double-double at Rhode Island thanks to 15 kills and 10 blocks. The 10 blocks is tied for the most in a four set match by an Atlantic 10 player this season.
Scouting the Explorers...- Freshman
Madison Kuch and sophomore
Hannah McGary both rank in the top ten in the Atlantic 10 in service aces during conference play. Kuch ranks sixth averaging .42 per set and McGary is close behind in tenth with .33 per set.
-La Salle owns three of the top five hitting percentages as a team in five set matches by any Atlantic 10 team this year. They hit .323 at UMBC, .321 at Norfolk State and .269 at New Orleans.
-The Explorers have had a pair of freshman honored by the Atlantic 10 so far this season. Freshman setter

Jensen Sharrits have each been named the Atlantic 10 Freshman of the Week so far this year.
-Sophomore
Bryanna Davis recorded a match-high 15 kills while hitting .423 in the previous meeting between the two teams earlier this season. The match was part of a seven match streak which she finished with in double-digit for kills.
-Davis is leading the team averaging 3.03 kills per set against conference opponents.
Next UpLa Salle closes out its home schedule as they welcome Davidson and VCU to Tom Gola Arena next weekend. Davidson and La Salle faceoff on Friday at 7 p.m. while VCU travels to 20
th and Olney on Sunday at 1 p.m. with Senior Day festivities prior to the game.
