PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's basketball team hosts the Temple Owls for the 2015 home opener this Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Tom Gola Arena.

Scouting the ExplorersLa Salle is looking to bounce back after a loss to Fairfield in the season opener on Friday night. The Explorers trailed by as many as 20 points in the 3rd quarter before using a late run to make it a one-possession game in the final minutes.

Micahya Owens led all scorers with 20 points, including 14 points after the break. Sophomore
Amy Griffin scored all 13 of her points in the second half while freshman guard
Adreana Miller was impressive off the bench, going for 16 points and five rebounds in her collegiate debut.

Jasmine Alston had a team-high 10 rebounds from the guard position to go with four points and six assists.
The Explorers will look to carry over their success at home from last season, when they went a perfect 5-0 in nonconference home games.
Scouting the OwlsTemple is coming off an impressive 97-91 win against the University of Florida on Friday night to open the season. The Owls used a 16-0 run in the second quarter and halted a late Florida comeback to seal the win.
Junior Feyonda Fitzgerald scored a career-high 32 points while also adding five assists and three steals. Fitzgerald was named the Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week for her efforts, while also earning a nod on the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll.
Sophomores Tanaya Atkinson and Alliya Butts each netted 20 in the victory, with Butts also dishing out four assists.
