VILLANOVA, Pa.- No. 9/6 Villanova had five players finish in double-figures as it topped the La Salle men's basketball team 76-47 on Sunday at the Pavilion. Junior
Jordan Price led the Explorers with 16 points.Â

Johnnie Shuler also finished in double-figures with 11 points which was his fifth time this season with ten or more points. Shuler also led La Salle (4-4, 0-2 Big 5) with five rebounds on the day and tied for a team-high with three steals. Senior
Rohan Brown added eight points.Â

Things were tight in the early going as neither side was able to create much separation. A Price three-pointer tied things up at 8-8 with 15:20 remaining in the first half.

Villanova (8-1, 2-0 Big 5) answered the three with a 15-5 run to stretch its lead to 23-13 and create some separation.The Wildcats would push its lead to up to 15 points in the first half, including holding a 38-23 lead at the break.

Price led the team with seven points in the opening half. Shuler and classmate
Amar Stukes both recorded a pair of steals in the opening 20 minutes.

The Wildcats shot 53.8% in the second half and stretched its lead to 37 at 71-34 with 7:42 remaining.
Villanova was led by Josh Hart, who had 18 points, and Ryan Arcidiacono, who had 14 points and seven assists. Nova made 13-for-28 from three-point range and had 24 assists on 28 field goals.Â
