PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's basketball team returns to action on Saturday as it hosts Drexel with tip slated for 2 p.m.

DrexelLast Time OutJunior Jordan Price scored a career-high 37 points helping to all but erase a 15 point second half deficit, but it wasn't enough as La Salle fell to Hofstra 84-80 on Wednesday at Tom Gola Arena. Price scored 24 second half points on an impressive 15-for-22 showing from the field. The 37 points are the most by an Explorer since Steven Smith had 41 on December 18, 2005. Junior

Yevgen Sakhniuk had maybe his best performance in the Blue and Gold with eight points on 4-for-4 shooting in 23 minutes.
All-Time SeriesThis will be the 26
th all-time matchup between the two Philadelphia schools with La Salle holding a 21-4 advantage. This will be just the third meeting between the two at Tom Gola Arena, with La Salle having won both previous matchups including most recently a 74-56 win in December, 2000. The teams were rivals in the East Coast Conference from 1974-75 to 1982-83. La Salle beat Drexel, 87-76, on Feb. 25, 1980 in the ECC First Round at the Palestra. Drexel returned the favor with a 69-66 win on March 2, 1981 in the ECC First Round at Hayman Hall.
Last Meeting With DrexelCleon Roberts led three players in double-figures with 15 points as La Salle downed Drexel, 65-55 in December of last year.
Jordan Price added 11 while
Rohan Brown came off the bench with a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Khalid Lewis scored eight points and tied a career-high with seven assists.
Amar Stukes also scored eight points. Roberts and Brown gave the Explorers a burst off the bench as La Salle held a 34-16 advantage in points off the bench.
Scouting the Explorers•
Jordan Price is currently second in the nation in scoring at 27.0 points per game (as of 12/2). He is leading the A-10, and second nationally, in three-point field goals per game (4.33). He is also second in the A-10 and 15th nationally in three-point field goal percentage (.531).
• Price had 37 points, on 15-for-22 shooting, to set a new career high on December 2 vs. Hofstra. It is the most points by an Explorer since Steven Smith had 41 on December 18, 2005 at Central Connecticut State in 4OT. It's the most in a regulation game since Rasual Butler had 44 vs. Rhode Island on February 23, 2002.
• La Salle has won 25 of its last 30 non-conference regular season games (.833) at Gola Arena.
• Price and Jacksonville's Darius Dawkins are the only two players in the nation that are ranked in the top 10 in three-point field goals/game and three-point field goal percentage.

Yevgen Sakhniuk has made his last 10 two-point field goals over the past three games. His only miss was a three-pointer at Penn (11/25). He is 10-for-11 over that span and leads the A-10 with a .783 field goal percentage.
• La Salle has made a three-point basket in 784 consecutive games, which is the 13th longest streak in the nation.
La Salle-Drexel ConnectionsDragons redshirt sophomore Miles Overton is the son of Explorer great Doug Overton who ranks 12
th on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,795 career points. The younger Overton also played his prep ball at St. Joseph's Prep where he was coached by "Speedy" Morris who coached La Salle from 1986-2001 and has the most wins in program history with 238. Miles is sitting out 2015-16 after transferring from Wake Forest over the summer.

Scouting the Dragons-Drexel has had a tough start to the season, dropping the first six games on its schedule. The Dragons most recently dropped a trio of games during the Great Alaska Shootout.
-Despite starting off the season 0-6, five of the Dragons six losses have come by single digit margins.
-Senior Tavon Allen leads the team and ranks 16
th in the CAA scoring 13.5 points per contest. Allen also ranks 12
th in the conference in three-point percentage (.368), 10
th in free throw percentage (.810), and eighth in three point field goals (2.3 per game).
-Freshman Terrell Allen has been efficient running the point for the Dragons ranking fourth in the CAA averaging 4.3 assists per game. He has also taken care of the ball with an assists-to-turnover ratio of 2.0 which ranks seventh in the league. Allen has aided in the defensive effort leading the team with 2.3 steals per contest.
-Graduate student Kazembe Abif leads the team on the boards, pulling down 8.5 per contest which ranks fourth in the CAA. He is also third in the CAA averaging 2.7 offensive rebounds per game.
