DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson's Lee Miller delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10^th inning to lift the Wildcats to an 11-10 victory over the La Salle baseball team on Friday night at Wilson Field.

Nathan Becker singled in two runs in the 7th to tie the game at 10-10 and set the table for Miller's game-winner.

La Salle's Greg Paprocki (L, 0-1) entered following the Becker single, stranding the go-ahead run at third base while recording the last two outs in the inning. Paprocki held Davidson scoreless until loading the bases in the 10^th and surrendering the single to Miller.    

The Explorers got out to an early lead, breaking a scoreless tie in the 3^rd with six runs on seven hits. Justin Korenblatt's RBI single sparked a string of four straight run-scoring base knocks for La Salle.

Josh Savakinus' two-run double made it 3-0 before Cameron Johnson doubled in a run and Mark Williams had an RBI single. Ryan Welling capped the scoring with a two-run double to left center.

After Davidson trimmed the lead to 6-4 with four runs in the 5^th, Korenblatt walked with the bases loaded to force in a run and Johnson had a two-run single to take a 9-4 lead.

The Wildcats came right back with four more runs in the 6^th to make it a one-run game before Savakinus forced in La Salle's final run with a bases-loaded walk in the 7^th.

Davidson's Josh Smutzer (W, 3-0) closed the door on La Salle in the 10^th, inducing an inning-ending double play following a Williams single.

The Explorers and Wildcats resume the series on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
